Today tried one of the new barre 3 flow workouts (basically yoga). Really enjoyed it. Wasn't planning to.

Cheryl, happy anniversary! Sounds like you and your DH are in a really good place these days. So happy for you two.

Cynthia, are you doing an in-person Dailey retreat? Dailey method is tough, so hat's off to you for getting ready for that. I went to their studio once and my abs were killing me after that.

Lynn, yes, this is the vacation I've planned for months. In person in Sedona AZ, November 14-17. Jill Dailey her own self will lead the barre classes. I'm on her e-mailing list. She announced this retreat when things were opening up and starting to seem safe, before the Delta variant. But I've had my booster and will take a supply of masks with me. Also, since it's for less than a week, I didn't get travel insurance and it's non-refundable. I have the Dailey Method DVDs but have never been to their studio. There isn't one near me.

Check-in: lap swim.

barre 3 30 minutes

Cynthia, that's really cool, but also scary. I found Daily Method really hard the one time I went to their studio. But you know me, I do barre 3 for the lack of dread and general laziness. I do find, though, that even though I come out of barre 3 never feeling wrecked like I did when I tried things like P57 and barre classes with endless reps, I actually made progress in fitness and when I would walk with DH up super steep hills or pull out videos that used to be really hard, I could do them without difficulty. So somehow the moderate workouts worked for me. Maybe because I just did them a lot and didn't burn out on them like I would with the ones I dreaded because they were so hard.

No workout today. After errands and chores, I took a nap instead.

Thank you for the anniversary wishes! We had a great evening. We went first to an old chapel that had been converted to a wine bar. It was beautiful, with a lovely patio area also.

Then we went to our restaurant. We had seen it before, looking up one of the cobblestone alleys as we passed by, with tables set out on the stepped slope of the alley street, warm glow of candles on the tables, looking absolutely like something out of a movie. We were seated indoors, down a few steps into the little stone restaurant. The owner couple was very kind. They suggested two meals to try and share, and then served them one at a time like a multi-course meal. Then they brought us some sort of custard in thin toasted crepe (kind of like a creme brulee but with a thin crepe) along with some port, because it was our anniversary. It was a memorable experience.

I did an upper body Zanna workout yesterday and got more than 12k steps, and a bit more steps than that today.

Cynthia, Sedona is beautiful. I hope your trip is great!
