Gams - Hang in there through the next few days and especially the prep. It will be nice to get the surgery behind you. You can always write notes later. You may look for things to do while you recover. If not, there's always time later.

Yes, Gams, take care of yourself, body and soul. Your pen pals know you're going through this.

Gams, I'm sorry your mom was injured.

Don't worry about your pen pals. Let us worry about you! We are thinking of you and praying for your very best outcome.

Wanted to let you all know that the nurse called this morning and said my doctor has an injury and has to postpone procedures. I do, of course, hope she will be better soon, but I am happy to hear I can have something to eat today! 😁

Gams anything you eat will taste way better than it normally does

Hoping your mom is doing ok! She sounds like a trooper!

Well, postponing surgery can be a good thing! You want your doctor to be at her best, after all!

Given everything that has gone on in your life recently, postponing the surgery isn't a bad thing. Enjoy the break! I hope your doctor heals well.

I’ve noticed when checking postmarks on letters from my pen pals that sometimes the letters are taking a LONG time to get to the recipient. So I just wanted to point out that a lack of continuity in my letters could be because I am slowly losing my mind but it could also be because I haven’t received some letters that you mailed an eternity ago.

And while I’m on the subject of mail - every few weeks I mail 3 or 4 magazines to my mom in a manila envelope. When the guy that runs the post office is working, I always get charged $10.95 in postage. When I asked him why it’s so much he said it’s based on the envelope weight plus how far it’s going. I don’t know if I believe that, though, especially seeing how if a different employee is working, I always get charged $3.00. Anyone know if he’s correct?
