I have had great luck with Altra Paradigm. However, you must ease into wearing them. They are zero drop shoes which will keep your calf stretched. They are really cushy unlike most zero drop shoes. I think a lot of my problems come from tight calf muscles.
Instead of going barefoot around the house, I wear Birkenstock Shearling lined clogs.
