I forgot what a GREAT workout Gym Style Legs is!!

It hits every muscle in the lower body till they are burning. By the time I hit the floor, I was begging for mercy! I love the variety and small variations within sets - keeps it interesting and prevents boredom. I'm doing upper/lower body (mid weight) splits right now & I don't feel that I've been working my LB enough so it fits in perfect. Does anyone have any other suggestions for their fav upper/lower split workouts? TIA!!

Yes, it is a GREAT lower body workout! I think all the Gymstyles are over-kill intentionally, so they can be shortened in various ways.

Though some find her comments obnoxious, I've really been loving the workouts on the Butt Bible dvd. There are 3 discs, each one has an upper body and lower body workout, the upper body workouts all contain abs as well. They progress in both length and difficulty with each disc from 20, 30, to 40 minutes in length. I'm a Cathe girl and was surprised at how tough these were. She tends to use lower weights on the workouts for upper body but I go heavy and do slightly less reps. You can also get all the workouts free on youtube. Obviously Level 3 workouts would be toughest. I also like Cathe's Pyramid dvd. However for lower body I don't usually use it pyramid style or if I do I only go "up" the pyramid b/c I just don't like changing the plates on my barbell that often. If I don't do it pyramid style I just do straight sets of about 10-12 reps per set.

XTrain Trisets can be split into upper and lower. Also Burn Sets is a good solid upper body split than can be paired with any of Cathe's (or anyone else's) lower body workouts on another day.

I love the Gym Styles and still do them regularly. I pick & choose on the legs one because it's so long. I just wish they had some built in ab work on at least one of the discs.

One thing that I have done with the Gym Styles workouts (with Cathe on Demand) is to create a few total body workout utilizing the three Gym Styles workouts. I have also created a total upper body workout by picking and choosing segments to do.

STS Disc 23 is great!

If you like GS Legs you should get STS Disc 23. This is such a good workout!

An it's a bargain when you buy it as a download: Only $9.97. Not at all boring and it flies by.

I rarely use my STS discs, but this I use often.

Edited to add that the Edge Booty 2 leg workouts are really great too!

Good idea! This time I used streaming on totalfitnessdvds & unfortunately there are no chapters or premixes. Next time I'll have to pull out the dvd.

Tugger: thAnks for the reminder. I tried out butt bible months ago & liked it. Time to revisit!
I did trisets the week before - that's a good workout! I'll have to pull out pyramids & burn sets. Thanks for the suggestions!!
