Cathe does an exercise in STS D6 Legs where you put the band around your legs above the knees, sort of mid thigh. Flat on your back extend your legs up. Legs can be bent or straight. I had to bend mine more than Cathe because it started hurting my knees slightly. But in this position press in and out on the band. You will so feel this in your outer hips and a little bit inner thigh. Thought I'd give you another exercise for the bands.

videofit, I have the perform better version of the bands you got and those were the ones I was going to recommend. I used them for glute activation excercises.
