make a ballet barre

I tried to post this in the equipment forum and got a message that I didn't have enough priveleges. So...I want to make a ballet barre at home, and attach it to the wall. How high should it be? Waist high? I am about 5 3"....

Thanks.

I just purchased Two saw horses made by Stanleyworks at Home depot (plastic) and use one of them for my ballet barre. It cost $50 for 2 of them.

Faster than making one. It also expands up to 36" in height.

I don't have it at work but I can tell you it is about 3 feet or so wide.

It was so nice just to go and pick it up. My husband actually said to me that I should have bought it before we did the construction on his new Barn.

I know it was a Stanley Sawhorse. I can check it out when I get home later tonight!

Sheila C. (I am 5'1" tall and you can expand the horse up to 36" tall though I am comfortable at hip level and 30" tall!).
