I live in a tourist area. Coachellafest and Stagecoach concerts venue is so close to my house I can hear the boom boom boom of the music at night. We live so close to the venue for the BNP Paribas OpenTennis tournament the city has to post no parking signs on the streets around my home. All 3 events bring in international visitors. The tournament was scheduled to begin this week. It has been cancelled as of tonight. We are waiting on an announcement on Stagecoach and Coachellafest for next month. The area will take a huge financial hit if all 3 events are cancelled but better safe than sorry. The first coronavirus case has been confirmed at a hospital in my area (20 minutes away)and a second one in the county I live in. My husband is 73 with a chronic lung condition and if he contracts the virus I don't think he would survive. My son and geanddaughter work with the public. I'm very worried.

I used to drink punch made with everclear at parties in college!

WE have a well also and ours is safe to drink and lucky we don't have that sulfur smell or taste. I have been living on well water for over 40 years and never had a problem.

So far no cases in Michigan as of Sunday.

The other day, I wanted to buy sanitizing wipes since I had 0 at home. I went to Publix, Target and BJs, but they were all out. Then I saw through Google search that one Office Depot had them in stock--this is an out-of-the-way store, so I got them there. The sales clerk told me a lady bought 35 3-packs earlier that day. Unless she was buying for a school or other gathering place, that is just crazy.

We always have bottled water here in Florida due to the hurricane threat, so I am stocked on that front. Combine that with the recently breaking water and sewer pipes here, and I am glad to have some. There must be some concern that water could get contaminated. I read yesterday that the virus survives in feces, so I guess it is possible that we would need bottled water.

They have postponed the huge yearly Beatles fan convention in Northern Nj and Princeton University is switching to virtual classes after spring break. It is rumored another local college may be also. Our son attends a local college, and we are wondering about that.

bubbles, I am not freaking out yet either but I am washing my hands a lot more often. This weekend I was curious about the Mid Atlantic Robotics competition since DD was involved when she was in HS. I wasn't checking about coronavirus but just to see what competition was this week and coming up. Well the competition in Mt. Oiive last weekend was cancelled. Her team is supposed to compete in Robbinsville next weekend. I am wondering if they will be cancelling that one. What a shame-they spend 6 weeks eating, breathing and sleeping robots and then they can't even compete.
