MH60 Phase 2 "Crush & Burn Complexes"

Yep Marika, I'm killing myself with awesome workouts right now.

Here's the breakdown for "Crush & Burn Complexes" from MH60 Phase 2

Total time: 26:40
Warmup-
*hinge
*prisoner squat
*DB overhead hold into rack
45 second rest (you will need it)

Complex (8 reps each continuous flow one into another)
*(RDL) deadlift
*bent over row
*high pull
*overhead press
*front squat

(you do on one side and then the other)
30 sec rest (you're gonna need it)

Repeat but faster
30 sec rest

Rep Scheme Complex (5-5-5-5-5)
Doubles: Do the above moves with the 5 rep scheme with 2 DBS

60 sec rest

Upside/Downside 8 reps each
You go up the left side and then down the right side with the complex

60 sec rest

Repeat the other way

Rep Scheme Complex (5-5-5-5-5)
Doubles: Do the above moves with the 5 rep scheme with 2 DBS

Upside/Downside 8 reps each

60 sec rest

Doubles 5-5-5-5-5
Do the above moves with the 5 rep scheme with 2 dbs

Last 5 minutes or so - Cardio Blast!
4 moves/2 rounds
*fast split jack
*fast mt. climbers
*plank hold
*skier hop

This looks like it's a tough one, but after I broke it down it's basically 3 different ways to use 5 different moves:

1. 5 continuous moves for 8 reps each
2. 5 continuous moves for 5 reps each but using 2 dbs
3. Upside/Downside is just doing all the moves on the left and with no rest going back down the right.

I can't wait to try it.

Thanks Lesia! I have been looking for some new upper body workouts, that are about 30 minutes. I just ordered. With the coupon code the price is great deal.

MH60 Phase 2 "Insane Isometrics"

This is a review of MH60 Phase 2- "Insane Isometrics"

Breakdown - 28 min
6 movements of isometrics (David shows you the 6 isos that you can do during the 4 minutes. No worries because once he turns you loose, you can do which ever move you like. He encourages you to flow thru each of them.)

*bodyweight squat
*lateral squat hold & change halfway
*split squat hold & change halfway
*pushup hold/plank

Triplex (3 moves with a 20 sec rest between each move)
*reverse lunge drop chop (same side)
*reverse pushups (he shows all kinds of mods here)
*standing curl

You will do the above 3 moves for 3 rounds with a 60 sec rest between each round.

Iso "Hold & Go"
*bodyweight Squat (20 sec)
*core runner hold (20 sec)
You "hold" for 10 sec/"go" for 10 sec

40 sec rest
*db row (20 sec)
*superman sweep (20 sec)
You "hold" for 10 sec/"go" for 10 sec

Iso "Go & Hold"
You put all of the 4 moves together.
squat/core runner (bicycle)/db row/superman sweep
("go" for 10 sec/"hold" for 10 sec)

THEN
"Hold & Go"
You put all of the 4 moves together
squat/core runner (bicycle)/db row/superman sweet
("hold" for 10 sec/"go" for 10 sec)

I haven't done this one yet because it's in Phase 2, but it looks great. I've never seen a program put together like this. With the whole program I'd say there are at least 5 different training styles and it appears to be well rounded.

Those of you who have this set, do they give you a workout schedule?

MH60 schedule/rotation

Phase 1: 2 Weeks 1-2
"Fat Frying Fury" (33 min)
"Total Body Typhoon" (32 min)
Cooldown #1 (9 min)

Phase 2: Weeks 3-4
"Crush & Burn Complexes" (27 min)
"50:10 Mayhem" (30 min)
"Insane Isos" (28 min)
Cooldown #2 (6 min)

Phase 3: Weeks 5-6
"Cyclone Circuits" (34 min)
"Sixty Second Scorchers" (32 min)
"Diabolical Duos" (28 min)
Cooldown #3 (6 min)

Bonus disc: Free Flow Fitness Mobility (20 min) All 4 trainers take turns in a stretch/mobility. Imho, this is the only dud in the group. If you follow David and Andy (the first two segments, you'll be fine, but the last two presenters, Jill and Mike, are very off count. ) So about the first 10 minutes is doable.

It's suggested to use at least 3 times a week.

MH 60 Phase 3: Diabolical Duos

This is a review of MH60 - Phase 3: "Diabolical Duos"

Workout: 28 min
Warmup:
"Lunge Matrix" (which will come back at the end of the workout)
40 sec on/20 sec off
*forward, side, back lunges
*pike pushup
*glute bridge

Duo #1
*iso dynamic split squat
*single arm db press
**will get harder as you progress through the 3 sets

Duo #2
*pushup (all kinds of mods here for everyone)
*split stance row
**will get harder as you progress through the 3 sets

Duo #3
*lunge matrix
*10 & 2 pushups
**will get harder as you progress through the 3 sets

With all the MH60 workouts, David Jack is tops in giving progressions and regressions. Examples: you can use bodyweight, 1 db, 2 dbs, jumps, stay grounded, etc. A workout you can grow with.

I just finished Spartacus "Bodyweight Rev" and that finishes 10 days of Phase 1 of my Spartacus/MH60 rotation. I've never stayed with a rotation this long and guys, I feel awesome! As I was stretching out to Cooldown #1, I was pulling my leg back into a hamstring stretch with a towel, and I noticed that my arms are getting cut. Of course I've got some body fat to lose, but I feel balanced and strong!

What I like about it is that the workouts are no more than 35 min (with the added cooldown) and I am at least a top 5 finalist in the sweataholic contest.

Best money I ever spent on a system. I realize that it may not be for everyone but when you find that "click", you just go like the cops are chasing you.

During the main workout the work/rest ratio is 50:10

*single leg RDL and switch
*half getup and switch

60 sec rest

*goblet squat with press

How does the rotation looks like? I think I saw 3 days/week for 60 Day Transformation. How about Spartacus? How do you rotate these two?
