Is anyone familiar with Peggy Cappy for yoga

I'm just wondering if anyone here is familiar with Peggy Cappy from PBS who has a yoga program. My mom said she would like one of her DVDs for Christmas but I'm not sure which one to get her. I've found Peggy's website but there she has serveral dvds to choose from. My mom is in her 60's and exercises regularly using weights, doing cardio and takes a couple yoga classes a week. She's not looking for Power Yoga and would probably be considerate a light intermediate. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

I have three of Peggy's workouts. IMO, Yoga for the Rest of Us would be a good one for your mom to start out with. It contains 3 different 20 minute routines to choose from. Peggy has a quiet personality and a soft voice. My body feels refreshed and well stretched after these sessions!

I pre- ordered and recently received Yoga for Arthrititis which went right to the top of my super bad regrettable can't return it pile.
omgosh, watching paint dry would be much more fun than this dvd. No music. she works the everything so slowly and gives lots of talky talk talk remarks before you actually get to do a movement. I think it is all done sitting in a chair ( quite sure).
I might do the hand segment again, you can go to different chapters.
I sure hope someone pm's me for this one!
I suggest going to the library and trying one of her workouts first. She really talks a lot and doesn't do much -ok, just my opinion. she seems lovely but I don't want to waste my workout time listening to so much chatter and getting so little done.

Thanks Whimzee. Do you have MORE Yoga For The Rest of Us? Is it much harder than her first one?

Donna - Thanks for your thoughts too. My mom seems to think she wants one so I'm going to get one for her anyway.

Donna I can't describe how much I appreciate your posting your negative experience w/Peggy's Yoga for Arthritis. I've almost been sucked into buying that one about 5X when her schpiel is on PBS but something held me back ... thank you!

I recently tried her Back Care one (don't recall the exact title, but you can read my review here on VF). I was having some low back issues, so I borrowed it from the library. I thought it was fine, although a bit on the slow/gentle side for me since I'm more of a high intermediate. Peggy would not be my first choice as an instructor--again, she moves a bit too slowly for my tastes--but I didn't have any major problems with her either.
