FIRM's Total Body TransFIRMation System

I was looking the the Total Body TransFIRMation System that the FIRM has featured on their website (the one from the new info-mercial). Anyway, I think I'm going to get it, but was wondering what you all thought of it, those of you who bought it.

Thanks!

Hi Jamie~ LOVE,LOVE IT!!! There has been lots of threads regarding this series so you might want to do a search to get more information/opinions because it really is a series that people either love or hate. If you are a true fan of the older,Benson,mansion-style FIRMS,you probably won't like this series at all. I am NOT a pre-BSS1 Firm fan and I love all the changes then FIRM has gone through in recent years.
TransFIRMation uses no step,no fanny lifter,no TransFIRMer but does come with CardioWeights. MANY have criticized the CardioWeights but I personally LOVE mine. Tina leads her first FIRM workout in High-Def Sculpt and while she does seem a bit nervous I think she does an excellent job in this all sculpting workout (many will disagree with that). Cardio Overdrive (with Alison) and Hard Core Fusion (with Allie) are both Aerobic Weight Training workouts, alternating cardio segments with weight training. Cardio Party is a BLAST!! and is lead by five different FIRM instructors, they each get a short segment and it is pure aerobics (no weights at all). I am very uncoordinated but am able to pick up the steps in this series very easily. These workouts are not quite as intense as earlier FIRMS but you can make them more difficult by increasing your weights.
The firmdirect website has some nice, long clips of each of the workouts. Have you viewed those? That may help you with your decision. I am thrilled with this set and am happy I have it. I would recommend it to anyone. Good luck with your decision. Judy

Jamie,

You may want to look at the Bargain thread. There were lots of people who found the set at CVS for $12.50 or $4.50. I have it and love it.

I am a fan of the older Firms and I like this series very much. There are very few Firm workouts that I don't enjoy.

Ditto Carol, I also enjoyed this series very much, although Annie's was my least favorite of the set.

Thanks for your responses! I think I'm going to order it! But then I also want the TransFIRMer Syster too (it comes with the TransFIRMER step and 3 or 4 workouts). Do you like this one too? Heck, I'll probably end up getting them both!

Yes, lots of people like the TransFirmer workouts. These are probably the most popular of the newer workouts.

Definatley check the bargain thread like Prissy suggested. CVS has the Transfirmation kit for $5-$25, depending on your store.

I really like the Transfirmer! Its fun and makes stepping more interesting. I use it for a weight bench (in the incline position). The dvds are often at Ross for a decent price and they seem to always be available on swapadvd.com. Target has the kit for $50 or so. I got mine with 6 dvds from craigslist for $35. If you get the TF you can use any BSS3 dvds with it as well (instead of the deathbox)

Do check all the above references for a great deal and also keep in mind totalfitnessdvds.com. No,you won't get the Transfirmation System as cheap as some of the other places mentioned but you will get free shipping and awesome customer service so if you can't find it elsewhere I would check totalfitnessdvds before buying from firmdirect or Collagevideo. I did not like the Transfirmer system. The workouts are way too easy, stepping on the incline is very awkward for me, and I could not get "used to it". Do not pay full price for this system, it's a dime a dozen online and at thrift stores. I don't even use the transfirmer step for other workouts, I use my fanny lifter. The transfirmer is bulky and cumbersome.
