Where can I find a Bosu or something like it (not expensive) for my DH for Xmas???

Hi,

My DH has been in Physical Therapy from an accident from 3 years ago and his current PT is amazing and has him doing pilates types of exercises and great balancing work on the Bosu. She said she is working him up to being able to balance on his knees on a stability ball while doing lat pull downs and stuff like that... huh??? Anyway, he is really into his therapy and likes to do his exercises at home now and was talking about a Bosu ball (he mispronounced it of course and I laughed and said, no, a Bosu. Anyway, I would love to get it for him for Christmas and I could use it to, being a vidiot myself.

Are there copies of this or alternatives rather than the $100 one?

Thanks,

Kelly

I've seen one at Target.

I saw them at Linens N Things for $99 (I think) but they always have 20% off coupons.

There's a Sports Authority coupon posted in the bargain section.

Otherwise, you can do a search at target.com for "balance" and see a number of different choices (wobble boards, Go Fit Core disk, balance board, etc.)

And as my DH always points out, they used to make wobble boards in boy scouts for about $3. Here's a fancier way of making them:

They have a "Bosu Sport" for $49 at fwonline

fwonline bosu sport

but it's smaller than the regular one. Might want to check to see if the size would work for him.

I don't know if anyone's used one of these before, but they have a bosu knockoff at Gaiam called the Core Training System for $60.

GNC has the Bosu for $84.99 plus you can use FatWallet or Ebates with your order.

I got mine thru GNC last year and wound up paying about $55 with the discounts. Got great quick service from them.
