Question Yoginis - Arm Chair yoga

My mother has been experiencing increased health problems. I'd like to get her a yoga dvd/vid that is something she whilst sitting in a chair. Also I would mind some gentle yoga recommendations for non-chair yoga. I just think she'd be more likely to do it if it meant she didn't have to get on the floor. Then if she takes to yoga, I can get her the next step.

Thanks for your consideration.

I don't know any arm-chair yoga, but I want to recommend the sit-down t-tapp workout which is right at 12 minutes, stretches most of your body, and gets your lymph pumping. Your mother could do it to her personal max, and she never has to stand up or lie on the floor.

I found something called "Ageless Yoga" on Amazon that might be something your mother might like; "Yoga in Chairs" is another option.

Peggy Cappy's Yoga for the Rest of Us is a good one. She shows several levels of modification including one person sitting in a chair.

There's a show on PBS i've caughta few times called 'sit and be fit' and I've seen her doing seated stretches on there..not sure if she has and dvds out though.

tamilee webb has that 2 dvd stretch set and one of the 10 min ones is seated but not yoga.

Otherwise the only 2 modifid ones I know of are peggy cappy's? someone mentioned and maybe yoga for inflexible people(though they're pretty much on the floor in this one). LIllias is pretty gentle in soem of hers but again on the floor..
