Make your own suspension trainer! (video)
Ross Enamait posted a video on how to make your own TRX knockoff for much less cost, and with two hangers instead of just one.
http://rosstraining.com/blog/2011/02...iner-tutorial/ The embedded video won't show up on my netbook for some reason, so here's a direct link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GjoI2p-ob0

I tried to make a DIY TRX suspension trainer back in 2009. I bought 2 of these straps from amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ohs_product_T2 In the end, I bought a TRX suspension trainer direct from the company. It's more lightweight, easier to transport, doesn't scratch standard doorways, and I felt safer using it. I picked safety and convenience over cost. Nowadays, many companies offer similar products. Lifeline's Jungle Gym XT looks like a good option. My 2 ratchet tie downs didn't go to waste. If I want to hang from the ceiling, I can....but it's primary use it to secure cargo. |
