Each worksheet has a different color for the column headers. It's pretty! I enter the total number of workouts and time for each month of the previous year so I can compare and try to at least do the same number or exceed in the current year.

I use a spreadsheet as well. I log workouts for everyday ---- which workout, who, how many minutes. Occasionally, I will put down if I used a particular premix. I start a new tab every year. The spreadsheet goes back to 2006. So if I wanted, I can check what I was doing on any given day all the way back.
I also have a column for comments --- most days I don't have any comments. Sometimes, I will note an injury or if I'm feeling ill. Other times - I'll mention which weight I used.
Last, I have a separate tab that shows every workout that I own. It has info on name, instructor, length (if there's more than one, it will be noted), when the workout was last done etc. Each DVD or VHS gets its own row. But multiple workouts on a single DVD or VHS do not get their own row.
