I think the workout in the OP sounds like a blast. Sometimes you just need to mix it up. Debbie, your husband is crazy. I would LOVE to workout with you in your backyard. I just am not good at motivating myself with my own workouts. I need someone to lead me. |

Thank you Sciencelady and Sancho. I was so excited to run him through the outdoor circuit I created for him. I even did the workout with him. I was just shocked that him being a guy didn't like working out this way.

I actually do something similiar every Tuesday with a friend who is trying to branch out as a personal trainer and own his own studio. I'm basically his guinea pig. One of my favorite pieces of equipment is actually the sandbag. I can bicep curl 20 lb weights in each hand, but it still surprises me to this day how lifting or throwing a 20 lb sandbag can still be so challenging.
As much fun as it is, I have to keep reminding him that this type of training isn't new or innovative, just often overlooked and vastly underrated. In fact, I believe this is what Robert Downey Jr did to get in shape for the Iron Man movies. I have to say though, I don't think I can compete with that 73-year-old woman in the article. She sounds like she could whoop my butt
