I just finished Resistance Women which was very good although tedious at times. It's based on the lives of three women in Berlin in the years prior to and during WW2. Two of the women are not fictionalzed characters.

I am now reading City of Girls which is funny and hard to put down.

I'm reading The Thief, a science fiction book which was recommended here. It's good. I was drawn in in from page 1.

Is this Megan Whalen Turner's book? If so, I enjoy that entire series.

Yup. That's the book and you recommended it to me several weeks ago. I threw it on my Amazon Kindle wish list and recently Amazon sent me a message saying that it is available for free through the Prime Reading program. Good book for free. I call that a win/win!

I just finished "Valentina" by SE Lynes. What is it with British psychological suspense authors using only initials instead of first names? It was an engrossing and intense story. I would read other books by the author.

I started a lighter book by Jill Mansell. I need to check the title. My library sale had six or so of her books for cheap and I plan to work my way through them. I need lighter material in between the dark psychological suspense I love to read

Yeah, that's a good choice if you want something lighter to read. The hardest part about reading Jill Mansell's books is keeping the characters straight (in some of them, at least )

I forgot to mention that I've also been reading a cozy mystery anthology, Death Dines In. I'm going through it slowing b/c I've generally only been reading while on my stationary bike. I'm about halfway through; I've found the stories to be just so-so.

I didn't recognize that title, so I looked it up on Amazon. That told me that I had bought it at some point, the Kindle version. I went to the Kindle app and looked it up and found it marked as "Read". Huh. I have NO MEMORY of it at all. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks! I have had that happen to me.

I just saw on Amazon that Barbara O'Neal has a new book called "When we were Mermaids.". I am going to ask my library to order it.
