I have good memories of Jazzercise

I moved to a small town in 1980 after getting married. I signed up for Jazzercise classes because I'd hurt myself running and was told by my dr to give it up (running).

Our leader wasn't so over the top. The music was current top 40 fare and the "routines" were changed every 6 weeks or so. This was along the same time that Jane Fonda's workout album came out, I believe. Yes, it's corney, but it brings back fond memories for me

Cheesy yes, but it got people up, moving around and feeling good. I think Shanna Misset should be proud of her mother's accomplishments...and more power to her for taking it over. :-)

Wow, that does make it all seem quite crazed. Although, I've gotta say, the color-block look of contrasting tights and leotards was kind of cool looking, wasn't it?

I don't want to think what a montage of some of today's exercise videos will seem like 20 years from now....

I have two Jazzersize workouts - never logged in current system, so I supposed they'll turn up in my virgin/dusy doings eventually!

I can definitely remember one of them - part of it was on the roof of a building.
Yup - always was cheesy - not the kind of workout one does when expecting visitors!
