Total Max Mixers - Week of September 5

Hi everyone. My workout yesterday was a 50-minute walk with DH in the morning and Perfect30 Mobility Basics in the afternoon. The weather was perfect for our walk --low 70s and low humidity.

Gibbee - The wrist still bothers me a bit if I put a lot of pressure on it so I've been doing either elevated pushups or pushups on my knees. Pretty sad but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for the Givran link. I will look at the workout.

Karjoy - I don't think I could live in Florida again. It's just too hot and humid. Virginia is pretty hot in the summer too but at least we have the other 3 seasons.

Waves to Cher and Vannie. Have a good Sunday, all.

Had a good few days with my dad, just not long enough. I wasn't ready for him to leave. Saturday we spent 9 1/2 hours at the MN Ren Fest, most of it with friends, and yesterday we drove down to Des Moines for that fest. Yesterday was beastly hot from the moment we stepped out of the car at 10 AM. Today we're just bumming around. I wanted to go hiking but all the driving and the heat have drained us and feels good to be lazy. I can't get Cyric till this afternoon though and I miss him so much! I had booked the kennel a while back bc I assumed we would be going to my father-in-law's, but it did give us the freedom to stay at the fests longer (cancelling would have still cost me nights on the boarding package bc it was a holiday wknd).

I'm looking forward to getting myself back on track this week. Lots of good stuff has been happening the last couple weeks with camping and time with Dad and friends and everything but I am missing my routine and starting to feel ungrounded again. I'm also excited that I will be putting up my Halloween village this week! Huzzah!

Hi guys. Ben and I are at St Simons Island for our 40th anniversary! We are here today and tomorrow. Gosh this is one of my favorite places. It’s only 3.5 hrs from home. It’s got the southern historic vibe of Savannah, a laid back beach feel where it’s actually a little on the quiet side with live oaks and Spanish moss. We walked down to the beach when we got here and it was so wide! Tide was out and there was a gentle breeze.

Heather and I ran 8 miles with run/walk intervals yesterday and today I went to Burn for BodyWeight conditioning which was actually a lot of cardio with some Burpees thrown in. Fun but tough with a mask on. I was sucking air.

Vannie what is Ren Fest? I am glad you had a good time with family and friends. Sounds like it was much needed. I have noticed like you that being out in the sun and heat just wears you out. Doesn’t if feel good to chill?

Jbliff better baby that wrist till you feel no pain or soreness. It’s so hard to do though. It’s hot and humid here but the ocean breeze helps.

Back from the cabin. We had a great time!

I saw my friend that had Covid. She was on Day 19 when I saw her. She came down to visit for about 90 minutes. She had her portable oxygen tank with her. She doesn’t have to have it on all the time - just when she feels she needs it. She is a school teacher and starts back today. She will have to take her tank with her. I’m sure she is going to be wiped out. She did tell me as soon as her time is up from having Covid and can get the vaccine, she is getting it.

JBliff - Bummer your wrist is still bothering you.

Vannie - Glad you had a nice visit with your dad. Our temps were in the low to mid 70’s over the weekend. Today is supposed to go to 85 though. Have fun doing your Halloween Village.

Karen - Happy Anniversary! Sounds wonderful!

Drive by: 5 mile run in utterly flat St Simons Island. Oh so very hot because I did not run as early as I usually do. We had a wonderful short trip. More details tomorrow. I am off the rest of the week.

Did get back to a workout yesterday. I did Boss Bands Total Body and went for about a 30 minute bike ride in the afternoon. I don’t know what was wrong with me yesterday but I was so tired all day. Hoping today is better because I have some things to get done today.

Karen - Hope you had a great time on your trip.

Waves to all!

Hi all. My workout Sunday was Boss Bands Total Body. I think the bicep curls tweaked my left wrist a bit. It is really hard using both the blue and green band for this exercise. Monday I did 52 minutes on the elliptical to rest my wrist. Yesterday I just did 30 minutes on the elliptical. I just felt out of sort and my TV was not cooperating when I was working out.

Karjoy - Your trip sounds lovely. What a nice way to celebrate a momentous anniversary.

Cher
- I'm glad your friend came through her COVID scare OK. I'm glad she is going to get vaccinated.

Waves to all. Have a good day.

Had to do some grocery shopping yesterday morning so no workout but I did go for about a 40 minute walk in the afternoon.

JBliff - It’s to bad my friend didn’t get her vaccine before she got Covid. It is hard for me to stretch the blue band enough for those bicep exercises. I can’t imagine using the green one too.

My workout yesterday was LITE Metabolic Blast +core.

Cher - I keep reading about people with COVID who say they wish they had gotten the vaccine before getting sick. The people in our local health district are some of the worst --only 59% of adults are vaccinated vs the state-wide percentage of 79%. I have no problem with the blue band; it's combining it with the green that hurts my left wrist.

Waves to all. Have a good day.

Yesterday was 3 miles of dog walks, no other workouts. Had to run errands and then was just too excited to start on my village so I did the rest of the cleanup that was needed, set up platforms, pulled out all the tubs from storage and got the ground covers on. My dad is letting me borrow his table they used camping so it turns out I need one more ground cover. After our walk I will run pick one up then workout and finally start building! Okay, by then my excitement will be huge so I hope I can focus on a workout! I have had a hard time falling asleep the last few nights bc I keep thinking about decorating!
