Please let me know which recipe you make and how you like the chocolate chunks. My son's girlfriend is staying over, so maybe I will bake cookies for them in the morning.

So I started with the link you posted first.

I used coconut sugar in place of the white sugar. Not sure if this change affected the texture of the final product? This recipe resulted in thick light slightly crumbly cookies. They were very different from the dense cookie base of the tollhouse cookies. They were very pretty cookies but not as chewy as I'd hoped.

I'm going to try Lori's recipe next, then adawn's and finally the pudding recipe (have to buy pudding, lol.) I will just use plain white sugar in these other recipes.

Using coconut sugar would definitely change the outcome. I have made that recipe numerous times with regular sugars, and they come out soft and chewy and not crumbly at all. I am curious about the other recipes now. I am glad you like the chocolate chunks.

I made this recipe today. I have made it multiple times. The butter only needs softening for a few seconds in the microwave. The dough does not need to be chilled. I get about 20 cookies made with a large scoop. I like that this recipe makes a smaller batch. I do not need the temptation of the standard three dozen batch.
