They're also available on DVD.
I hadn't heard of Jason Crandell until an online friend of mine started his yoga journey a few years ago. When he asked me who I would recommend, I gave him plenty of suggestions. I was so surprised that this mid-western guy (who was used to sitting at his computer all day) would even attempt a yoga practice, as he's in no way a regular exerciser, LOL! But, he Jason!

Jason is wonderful, too! But, you will have to crank up your volume to hear him, he's so soft spoken! The Morning, Noon and Night DVD is very good with three 20 minute practices. There are two other yoga students, in addition to Jason and it's filmed in an indoor studio. Jason seems very down-to-earth and sweet. If I recall correctly, my friend was doing workshops with him or had attended classes with him. Wonders never cease.

Beth re: 3 week yoga retreat..I don't remember the set that way. I know blocks and mods being mentioned and shown by one demonstrator throughout and the practice being very accessible to me so I will have to go back and check that. Maybe I'm more flexible than I realize?

Gams I love hearing others suggestions so glad you posted this!!

I do remember trying a couple of Rodney Yee titles and pretty discouraged at how difficult they were. I can't remember which ones because that was years ago.

Here are some links to some workouts for you to take a peek that sherry7899 sent me way back in the day. Hopefully they still work!

Linda yes, I do think they showed some modifications in Yoga Retreat, and I do recall blocks being used. To me, that's not enough. I want to see blankets, straps, bolsters, etc., and more customizing of the practice to each person.

Another recommendation....

I remember liking Tamal Dodge when his Element workouts first came out in 2012 or so.

Today I did his Hatha Yoga and Flow Yoga practices. Again a very beautiful setting and another male with a gentle and soothing voice. What's especially good about the Hatha section is the music track that is supposed to imitate the sounds of the Ocean waves coming in and out, so it helps a beginner know when to inhale and exhale during the practice. The other great thing about the Hatha practice is the use of the strap in so many exercises to help with people who aren't flexible. He even does "Happy Baby" but alternates each leg so "Half Happy Baby" with the strap. Anyway the strap was really utilized, so glad this was done by him and not just mentioned (in passing) as so many yoga instructors do! The other thing is he uses both Sanskrit names for poses, as well as English names. The Flow Yoga practice was very good, also (but challenging) and had more of a cardio element. I loved this one, too and it gives a beginner something to work towards...but still do-able. He's very encouraging and is a good instructor.

Ohhh, well that makes sense...but honestly, I rarely see all of that.

There is a 10 Minute Solution Yoga for Beginners DVD. The moves are beginner level, but it moves a little fast because of the 10 minute format.

I did this dvd yesterday and I loved it. I'm recovering from knee replacement surgery and it was a nice way to ease back into yoga.

I just did Angie Stewart's Stress Relief Yoga segment today and it was a very nice add on! Some very gentle stretches (some using a yoga strap.) The other segments look good, from the short preview!
