Karen, well, I'll never know if I was born to be a sprinter. My chiropractor advised me not to do any sprinting due to the increased risk of a repeat hamstring tendon tear. I took that as permission to be a slow runner.
I don't remember which Cher workout I got first but I have and love them both. I do Hot Dance the most though. It's kind of become my New Year's Day standard. My dancing was obviously interspersed with ladeling pancake batter and flipping them.
JBliff, my PT strongly suggested I have the gait analysis and told me where to go. I assume most shoe stores do the gait analysis like Karen described. I think this place works with a lot of PT patients. Keli does lead some of the Cher workouts. Dorian Sanchez leads Hot Dance and I do think Keli does the rest. Yes, Cher's outfits, oh my! Cannot imagine working out in those! Hot Dance and Denise Austin's line dance workouts, anytime I hear the songs in them I want to do the workouts.
Cheryl, I'm sorry Joseph is still having problems with the UC. I know it's hard to be patient when finding the right treatment. My mom was on prednisone for hers when I was a kid. She gained a ton of weight and struggled with her weight the rest of her life. I hope that doesn't happen to Joseph. She was able to get off them and never needed meds again for it. I think she had mild flare ups if she got really stressed out but they didn't last long.
Gibbee, I'm so glad to hear you're still working out and seeing your nice boyfriend. You have been through so much the last few years. No, things will never be like they were before, but hopefully you have developed a new routine that works for you.
