Anna - I love Jane Austen. There are still some of her books that I haven't read but want to.

I love the fact that her stuff stands up really well to being re-read. The Bronte sisters are also good, but somehow I keep going back to Austen more frequently.

I agree. I find that many times I read contemporary fiction and am disappointed and think to myself that I should just read more Austen - she never disappoints (or hasn't yet!).

Anna, I thought Ten Percent Happier was great! I actually convinced DH to read it even though he is not at all into mindfulness and meditation (he won't even do yoga with me) and he liked it too.

I should go back and read some of Jane Austen. I have been reading a cozy mystery series, Mr. and Mrs. Darcy, that serves as sort of a sequel to Pride and Prejudice - or at least the same characters.

I'm reading Shadows Of The Workhouse which is book 2 in the Call The Midwife series. It is so interesting but heartbreaking at the same time.

I really love that series. I’ve reread them all about 3-4x. Sad every time.

Still re-reading the Sherlock Holmes books. There are a LOT of short stories. Still enjoying them, though!

Count me in as another Austen fan! I’ve read all her stuff multiple times. P&P was my first love, but Persuasion is my fave.

I'm a long-time Jane Austen fan as well. It was tragic she didn't live long enough to write more: just 6 novels, a story told in letters (which I loved) and two unfinished novels. All worth reading.

Over the weekend I finished Yoga for Healthy Aging: A Guide to Lifelong Well-being by Baxter Bell and Nina Zolotow. I signed it out of the library on Beth's suggestion and will be watching for it at the used book store. It's very informative and well laid out!

Pat, glad you liked the book! I bought my copy used (but like new) via Amazon; I think I paid about $7. The training really brought the book to life for me and also included some new info. If you have any questions, let me know (I think you have my email).

Yes, it's sad and I thought of bailing many times because of the sadness.
