I’m very fortunate! My mom used to exercise at home to a record player and a follow-along book. My sister introduced me to the Firm back when Vol. 1 was the only release! We even took a trip together on a Firmbelievers vacation to Columbia, SC one year. Fun times…

This was before Jane Fonda and I don’t really remember the instructor (I was little!) but the booklet was illustrated and not photographed. I remember the illustration had a woman in a blue leotard and ponytail. I used to like looking at the book. I’ll have to ask my mom to see if she remembers it. My sister might remember it, too.

I had no idea there were so many workout records! I like how it was called "vinylcise"! My dad used to have a music records collection (lot of vinyls), I didn't know at the time there were workouts in this format as well. Did your mom ever ended getting workouts in VHS and/or DVD format later on?

this was a hoot - wow! never saw these before (my parents were into big band and jazz records).

She did a few Firm workouts with my sister, but she had a car accident that really messed up her back so she pretty much quit exercising except for walking.

She loved to play golf and tennis as well, but at least she’s still able to do something.

I actually remember her doing the exercises when I was little! The size of their record player, too, back in the day. It took up an entire wall and had a reel-to-reel tape player as well. Talk about an antique piece of furniture!
