Hi all. My workout Monday was Fit Split Boxing Bootcamp/Legs & Glutes. Tuesday's workout was a walk + 45 minutes on the elliptical.

T2B - I have yet to do the STS 2.0 Trisets workout. I looked at it Monday and decided I didn't want to risk it. I'm so bummed not being able to do these workouts.

Karjoy - I have to agree the rest periods are very welcome. STS 2.0 is a great series.

Gibbee - So sorry you got hurt. I hope you will be feeling better soon.

Vannie - Your holiday trip sounded lovely. Cute story about the squirrel!

Waves to all. Have a good day.

Test. Sorry last eve’s post was short. Lost a post. STS2 upper body was near perfect, except back was worked a bit too much for me. I did not use the BB last night which worked fine.

T2B I am excited to try Tri Sets after your review. I have not done SuperSets either. Jbliff I think you’re smart to wait a bit on more STS workouts till your arm is better.

Vannie I am thinking we are a lot alike in that we like lots of different types of exercise. Smile.

Waves to Gibbee and Cher.

Hi all. My arm felt better yesterday so I took a risk and did STS 2.0 Upper Body 2. I went lighter on biceps (10 & 12 lb DBs) to minimize the strain but stayed fairly heavy with the rest of the upper body. My arm doesn't feel too bad today. I have to say I'm a little tempted now by the dip bars! I liked the way Cathe does the assisted dips using the bars.

Waves to all. Have a great day.

Hi All,

Just C&P here:

8. 2.0: Giant Sets Total Body + CIZE: Hold Your Own. Wow, STS 2.0 workouts are better each time that I do one.. Didn’t feel as though Cathe was going slow enough even though it is slower than her usual. I wonder if this was the first workout that was filmed. Anyway, great workout. The only thing that I may change is those Hip Thrusts. Wrestling with getting in place with the barbell is so clunky that instead of doing it 3 different times, I think I may wait until the end, pause the DVD and then do a set of 10, unilateral 10 reps, and then the 8. I feel my butt cheeks pumping up already. . I only had about 458 steps when done, so I did CIZE: Hold Your Own. I’m sure I’ll do something this afternoon to reach my daily step goal.

JB - I know it's hard to not jump in with STS 2.0 but you're doing the right thing. Hopefully, it's getting better every day.

karjoy since you're training for tri/marathon, are heavy weights optimal for that type training?

My workout yesterday was Les Mills Body Combat Invincible workouts #12 + #4. I also tried out the STS 2.0 Upper Body Foam Rolling since my upper body felt very tight. I really didn't know what to expect but it actually was pretty nice. I felt fairly stretched out afterwards.

T2B - Yeah, those hip thrusts are weird to set up. I just do mine on the floor with two dumbbells. Someone on the Cathe forum said they did theirs on a stability ball which might work better than trying to do it against the step.

My arm is still doing OK, thank goodness. To be on the safe side, I'll probably lift lighter the rest of the week and pick up STS 2.0 next week.

Waves to everyone. Have a great day.

TGIF!!!

9. TABATA Total Body Transformation: Surrender (virgin) + CIZE: Hold Your Own. I really enjoyed Surrender. I felt really strong and powerful going into this which I’m going to attribute to the STS 2.0 workouts. The warm up has walk out planks and I did them even though my first thought was “oh he!!”. (I’m going to revisit STS 2.0 Recovery Stretch workout soon). The Tabata round is only 4 minutes but it left me breathless. Great instruction, form pointers and a modifier. Surrender Breakdown:
Warm up
Conditioning
4 Rounds
10x squats
10x Each Reverse Lunges
10x Push Up Negatives
Remainder of time- Lateral Bound
Tabata
4 Rounds
Rocket Jump
Sumo Plank
Core
4 Rounds
Butterfly Sit-ups
Alternating Vertical Let Toe Touches
Stretch
♥️

JB - I tried using the stability ball for 1 set of hip thrusts but trying to hold a heavy barbell and the ball in place, to get in position, was awkward too. I’ll probably use dumbbells next time or pause the DVD and do them all at once. Nice job with the Les Mills workouts. I’m glad that your arm is still doing good. Now I’m curious about the foam roller, I will have to try it soon.

Waves!

Hi guys. Resting today because I have a trail “race” in am. Yesterday I swam for about 30 minutes. It’s good and hot here now so we’re truly in it now.
