Oh Sherry I'm so sorry to hear this.
I've never had costochondritis but I've had pneumonia and pleurisy (two different winters). SharonNYC suggested I set up a nice high stack of bolsters or pillows and blankets to recline back on, and belt the legs in for supported reclining bound angle pose. I found that it took pressure off the chest wall. That, and child's pose or any other forward bend, especially wide legged forward bend with my head on a block. It may be entirely different for your situation though. {{HUGS}} I hope it clears up quickly. ETA: I wonder if warm epsom salt soaks would help? |
