Hi Adrien! I still think 10 weeks is awesome! Thanks for your thoughts on the H&C set, I was considering doing the Hammer phase and then the Chisel phase, or do the main rotation, but extended (meaning with more rest days in between), so it'd take longer than 60 days... I'll check those rotations again when I decide to start that set. Get better soon, shoulder pain is not fun.

I think a group of frat boys produced, filmed and edited this set. No prude here what-so-ever.. but BJ was creepy!!

I did not love the workouts.. not what I was expecting them to be.. I thought they would be more muscle building. I liked the first lower body one..

Is this the 21 Day you're talking about or Extreme?

I was not a fan of his sense of humor. I like Sean T and Tony Horton, but he crossed a line into creepy for me.

The workouts are challenging but not killer. It's been about a month, so I don't remember anything specific.

Sugar, I did a few weeks of Extreme and really liked it. He talks a little fast so I couldn't understand a word he said. Maybe that helps with any creepiness.

I did a few weeks of H&C last year and almost broke my ankle. It was the jump splits or something. I also felt my lower body was getting overworked and started missing simpler gym style workouts.

I'm currently doing a roation with Flipping 50 and was wondering if anyone has figured out how to shorten Cathe's STS down to about 45 minutes. I would really love to pick that up again for splits.

Hi Beth! I'm glad to hear you liked Metashred Extreme! I'm also glad your ankle didn't get broke, how scary! I fear about over training with H&C, it has two many strength days in a row to my taste, maybe an hybrid with Country Heat could be cool. I haven't done STS yet, so I can't really comment on that.

Thank you AsSweetAsSugar for the info on coupon code.
Are the metashred extreme workouts harder than hammer and chisel?
I was just wondering how they compare?
Thanks

Thank you everyone for the feedback. For those who have the metashred extreme DVDs,how do they come pair to the 21 day metashred DVDs.
Is there a big difference in the two dvd sets?I am trying to decide between the to,any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I have to say I absolutely LOVED MSExtreme!!!
rcmims: It is more strength oriented than MS#1 - I felt it was tougher. Plus using the Fat Grips and the Blood Flow Restriction bands put a whole new twist on weight work. I would find it hard to pick just one, although I like MSEX much better so that one wins for me.

BJ is BJ. He just says whatever. He's young, still channels his inner 'frat boy', but he creates a kick-butt workout set. Silly talk never bothered me - it's kind of nice to chuckle a little so you don't focus on how hard you're working.
I loved the backgrounders. Two gals (beginner and intermediate) and one guy (advanced moves). Everyone seemed quite personable, although Jeremy was quiet. He works hard though. And gets teased a lot.

If you can look past some of the sophomoric humor, you might find this is a killer set. I just got done rotating through them for the last 2 months and got way stronger. My quads popped and my butt got rounder as did my shoulders. NOTE: I like lifting really heavy so this was perfect for me.

Each DVD is set up a little different. Different rep speeds, different rep counts. Some HiiT-like work. Lots of non-stop moves. Some MetaSets (the active rests) were easy, some not as much. SO much variety. I just finished my rotation last Friday and I'm already starting to miss it. Great splits set!!

Just my two cents.

So this is heavy lifting? I'm thought it's more metabolic..
Long rest period?
