OT - Do you send out Christmas cards?

I keep expecting a windfall of cards every time I go pick up my mail, but so far I’ve only received 5 cards. I haven’t even gotten one from my vet or Chewy yet! I guess I thought COVID would make people more likely to send out cards - give them something to do, but so far my theory isn’t panning out.

Yes, I still do. I briefly considered skipping it this year, but then I figured this year of all years people would welcome some cheer in their mailbox.

I'll often get a deluge of cards just a few days before the 25th.

I went to e-cards several years ago.

I usually do, but not always, and figured I would this year because it does seem like a good year to stay in touch and bring people a little cheer, but..... we didn't get anything ready and at this point I don't think we will. Rolling my eyes at myself.

We almost skipped this year. All our pictures of the family had at least one of us in PJs. Between wanting to keep in our tradition and acknowledging the loss of one of our dogs on the card, we got it together and took pictures over the weekend. It was really hard to get the kids to dress up just to take holiday pictures. The card may arrive right before Christmas but it’ll be there!

I sent cards this year, for the first time in a while.

My list ought to be bigger, but I don't have mailing addresses for a lot of people.

I got a bit burned out on such things a good while ago, when people would send me a card only if I sent them one first.

The worst are the family photos with a million people in them, but nobody's named. I'm not sure which is worse, not knowing their names, or watching them grow up year after year, still having no idea who they are.

I used to send out a Christmas letter but stopped over a decade ago bc it was too overwhelming to do when I was baking a ton. I never took it back up but the thought did cross my mind this would be the perfect year to start again, probably just cards with a personal note, though, rather than a letter. We've never done the photo thing.

LOL! We stopped printing individual names on our cards since we send them to our pediatrician who would post holiday cards in his examination rooms. Other than that, I only send cards to family and friends who already know our kids’ names.

I hate it when I get photo cards with 6 or 7 teeny weeny photos and I can’t tell who anyone is.

I don't anymore. I think social media really put an end to all that. I used to make cards...the whole stamping, cutting, etc thing.

I did purchase cards for my parents and my inlaws to send this year.
