Jessica Smith 10,000 Steps Weight Loss - Walk On: 5 Fat Burning Miles

I like longer cardio workouts that are basic aerobics. But I'm looking for something that's a little more than Leslie. Any thoughts on this workout from Jessica Smith? I see in the other thread where a lot of people say that Jessica's stuff is more like hi/lo aerobics. I have done a few of her yourtube workouts, Hiit, jogging, medicine ball, etc. But I am wanting a DVD. Do you think this one would fit the bill? I didn't see any VF reviews on it. TIA

I just bought the 5 FB Miles as a download earlier this week and I have only done one mile so far. I quite liked it! I have several of Jessica's workouts and I like them all. Her workouts are not what I would call true hi/lo, I would say they similar to Leslie's impact wise. The one exception to that I have done, and there could be others, is Cardio Abs. CA is fairly fast paced and does have impact moves that can be modified down. I find her choreo to be a bit more complex than Leslie's. She has two other women with her in her newer DVDs, the 5 Mile one included, her mom who does modifications and her friend who does more impact moves. Hope that helps!

Pam Thank you for the reply. I was hoping for something similar to Michelle Dozois Walk Your Way Thin. I think it's more like Hi/Lo, not walking.

This is my least favorite Jessica walking DVD because it was most like Leslie, to me. Less variety of moves, more pure walking, IMO.

Hmm. I don't do Leslie workouts, so I can't comment on that. However, it seems like Jessica's 5 Miles DVD is pretty similar to her other walking workouts, in my opinion. I do the Brain Booster and the Power Posture Walk together all the time because of the upper body emphasis to these. My shoulder/upper back areas get a nice burn. And since she doesn't do a warm-up or cool-down with each workout, you can mix and match to create a short, medium, or long workout. (The warm-up and cool-down are separate and can be programmed into your workout.)

The workouts are somewhat similar but their personalities are very different. I like both!

I think it is quite similar to Leslie's, with a bit more variety in the choreo. It's not what I think of as hi/lo, but for me that's Christi Taylor or CIA, much higher impact & faster pace than Jessica. Good plan to borrow it from Sherry.

Ok, so I have this DVD and haven't done it in a long time: http://www.totalfitnessdvds.com/Walk...kingwtloss.htm Is this one more like basic aerobics/Hi-Lo? TIA
