Beth, you do such a great job of getting a nice variety of workouts completed every week. I wish I had your consistency.

Cyana, those beauty berries are pretty!
I swear, you are a workhorse! I admire your tenacity.

Sandra, I hope you are OK!

Popping in to say hello!

No formal workouts, but I’ve been doing a fair bit of walking and keeping up with my PT exercises. My hip isn’t overly happy with the walking so far but it feels so good to get outside! We’ve walked around downtown and along the Harbour front, all fairly flat. The jazz club on Thurs was great, a quintet called The Cookers…..piano, sax, trumpet, bass, & drums. DS2 & DIL2 arrived on Friday & we had a family dinner at DS1’s, so nice to have everyone together! Yesterday we all went to a farm with a big pumpkin patch & the girls had fun choosing their pumpkins. DH and I are having a date night tonight & we go home tomorrow. It’s been a fun 5 days!

I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled workouts & checking in soon.
Waves to all!

Paine, I've really focused more and more on just trying to do something (was it Karen Jo or Margot who brought this up recently?) - once I start, I usually can go a little longer. But I don't have distractions like 2 little grandsons running around! This week I also found that I actually enjoy meal prepping when I first get home from work as a means to de-compress - and when I prep everything then, I don't have to interrupt my workout to start getting dinner ready.

Pam, wow, you have been busy! Hope your hip starts cooperating more soon.

ETA - cyana, glad you are getting something from the workshop; I'll be interested to hear more. I've incorporated some of Baxter's teachings into my classes already, and my students seem to enjoy it.

Groan, Happy Moan Day. It's dreary here but we needed the rain. Yesterday featured:

~ Slow and easy beach combing stroll at the beach
~ YWK Bedtime Yoga in Bed for Beginners plus evening affirmations
~ 4,835 steps

Pam, your time at the jazz club sounds amazing. I hope the both of us are back on our regular walking programs soon.

I have to fly - sending happy thoughts to all!

Quick fly by for Moan Day!

This AM:
Legs - BFR training:
Wall squats w/stability ball - 30 reps x 3 sets
Calf raises - 30 reps x 3 sets
Bridge with feet on 4" step - 30 reps x 3 sets

Hoping to get in some qi gong or yoga later today. A walk would be great, but I'm not sure there will be enough hours in the day!

Must get back to the grind - hope to chat soon.

Waves to ALL!

Hi!

So very sorry to disappear for a while. Last week I was sick with my cold, and then we had a monster rainstorm move through my area this weekend -- we broke a 24-hour rain total record that had stood since the 1880's! But luckily I made it through both unscathed. I'm very much looking forward to getting back to workouts this week.

Everyone take care -- be back later!

Good morning all! Here was last week for me:

Sunday:
Body Beast: Bulk Chest

Monday:
Body Beast: Bulk Legs (subbed side steps with booty band around thighs during the side-to-side sumo squats and did heavy hip thrusts on the BootySprout during the calf raises)
Cathe's Great Glutes (Floor Work and Stretch only)

Tuesday:
Body Beast: Bulk Back

Wednesday:
TAUGHT Functionally Fit and Cardio classes

Thursday:
TAUGHT Barre & Upper Express classes

Friday:
Body Beast: Bulk Arms

Saturday:
Body Beast: Bulk Shoulders

Since the Cathe Virtual Roadtrip is this weekend, I've decided to take this week off from Body Beast and do lighter weight workouts. On a whim, yesterday I got to thinking about Margaret Richard and did:

Sculpture Lower Body

I've been using heavy weights for my lower body the past few weeks, and apparently I forgot sometimes how using no weights (and Margaret) can fry your legs and glutes! I had to take a few breaks during some of the floorwork, and Margaret had me laughing at times while she kept going on like it was nothing. My legs and glutes were stinging afterwards, but I only have slight DOMS in the inner thighs and glutes this morning (that may intensify later this evening as I did the workout yesterday evening). While I did feel it, I might try adding light ankle weights (1 lb. vs my usual 2.5 lbs.) for the floorwork and wear my 12 lb. weighted vest for the standing quad and glute sections just to kick it up an extra notch.

Back in a minute with personals!

Sandra, I'm glad you checked in. How are you feeling now, any better?

I was watching about the flooding - too much, too soon. I expect most of it will run off instead of helping out where it's sorely needed?

Last night we watched on 60 Minutes how the Colorado River is running dry. Such scary times we live in.

Sandra: Glad you're feeling better! It's calling for thunderstorms later this afternoon, and we're under a Slight Risk for severe storms.

Pam: Sounds like a great time at the jazz club! Hope your hip improves soon.

Paine: Those beautyberries are pretty!

Beth: You had a great week! KB Squared has been on my wish list, as I enjoy kettlebells and kickboxing.

Pat: Hope you feel better soon! I just got Winsor Power Sculpting Buns & Thighs and am excited to try it.

Waves all around! Will be back later with today's workout.

Sandra, SO many people seem to be sick here! Sorry your have been suffering; hope you get both health & weather relief soon.

Garrie, are you still filming any of your workouts for Facebook? Your Barre & Upper Express sounds fun!
ETA: I have to modify some of the kettlebell work in KB2 because she uses 2 kettlebells for some segments. I really love the kickboxing though!

Pat, it's dreary here too; it was SO dark for the first half of my drive to work today!

cyana, as always, I am impressed by your stealthy fitness despite your busy schedule. I am trying to emulate you by getting in Baxter's mini-vinis during the day.

Waving to everyone; hope your Monday has minimal moans!
