Day 10

Lee Holden: Qi Workout AM/PM

I went thrifting yesterday and discovered this workout. I did the morning routine, mainly with eyes closed, and thought it was very relaxing. It loosened up some muscles too. I think this is one I would use again when I'm feeling stressed or sore after a more difficult workout.

Day 10 - Perfect Pilates Body with Andrea Speir

I did the whole thing. It was relaxing, but not real challenging. Probably because I'm not that great in pilates . Of course, I may be feeling this tomorrow

I had to do a search to find out who he was. ;-) Oh---you've got good taste, but I don't wanna work that hard! Yep, he's a looker alright.

Oh but when you're looking at him the work just fades away!

This is my go-to backache practice.

Sarah Beth has a few keepers for me as well.

Day 12 possible virgin, definite dustbunny. Dance Off the Inches Cardio Striptease.

I cannot remember if I actually did this workout or just the tutorial. Maybe just the tutorial because I was under the impression this was a 30 minute workout and it is actually 40 minutes.

Anyhoo, the workout itself wasn't bad - a bit like YBB's cardio cabaret.

Pros: Megan Armand was a lot of fun, I can't believe this is her only workout video. She kinda looks like April Bowlby to me. There was TIFTing, but in small segments.

Cons: The warmup and cooldown are not needed, imho. I'll skip them next time. The first segment drags, but the rest are fun.

Keeper for sure.

DAY 11 (July 22, 2021)

2010 The Firm Target Toning Zero in Ten:
  • Lean Legs (10m) virgin
  • Bun Burn (10m) virgin
  • Fearless Arms (10m)
2012 Brooke Burke Strengthen & Condition: Core (16m)

I took a much needed Rest Day yesterday -- amazing how much better my body feels today.
I think I'm warming up to The Firm's Zero in Ten -- as long as I modify the cardio, the 10 minute routines are very do-able and enjoyable.
Brooke Burke's Core routine fatigued me quickly -- I needed a few breaks in order to finish each exercise.

Day 11

Kari Anderson: Angles, Lines and Curves

I got this on VHS around 20 years ago from Collage video. I just didn't click with it. My daughter absolutely loved it.

Since I was a Firmie back then, and now I do lots of different types of workouts, I decided to give it another go. Unfortunately, I still don't click with it. I love Kari Anderson's Center Floor though.

Day 11

Today I tried to do one of the DVDs I ordered from Mary's July 4th sale. Oh, man it was terrible and I Joni O'd it so fast! It was Mia Togo's Element Daily Yoga (Morning practice.) You start seated on your mat and SHE WOULD NOT SHUT UP!!! You stand up, and again the incessant talking continued. I just couldn't take it, ha ha! I hate to even try the Evening session.

So, I ended up just doing (dustbunny) Suzanne Deason's AM & PM Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss (AM Practice), which was so wonderful. She used blocks in many positions and it was so helpful. I thought this DVD just had another PM practice but it also contains a longer (Bonus) practice....which I've never even done! When I first pulled this DVD out, I thought it was the Gaiam one with Suzanne and two other ladies (each showing modifications.) The majority of my Gaiam workouts have been dust collectors, but I do like Suzanne and will have to do her workouts more often. "Best made plans..."
