Hi everyone,
Happy Veterans Day! Today was an arm day and it was a toughie. I did a warm up and light cardio (10 minutes total) then EPIC III Powerful Push and Pull, a total upper body workout (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE5F...aCqjdn&index=3). This one was a total winner. The first half of the workout was back and chest, then went into shoulders, triceps, and biceps, and I added abs and a stretch for a total 55 minute workout. The structure was 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off. Each exercise was repeated once, and every fifth exercise (not repeated) was a different pushup variation. The pushups really gave the workout a metabolic feel which I really liked. I used 20# for one arm rows, 35# for rows using both arms, 15#, 12#, 10#, and 8# for the rest of the exercises. My only quibble was the music was a little strange at first, but then I got into it! I am saving this workout as a favorite for sure. It is an excellent upper body workout. Then I tacked on 5 minutes of abs and stretch. PS my legs are surprisingly okay after yesterday! They are lightly sore but not too bad. I went out for a long walk with the dogs after my workout, weather is gorgeous today! Edited for Friday: Happy Friday! Today I did legs with a quad focus, and it was a toughie too. I did the warm up from Firm Volume 2 (I'm just going to cycle through all of them, why not!) then EPIC III Quivering Quads (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNqJ...JFgH7W&index=3) and it was a very thorough workout for the lower body especially the quads of course. She has this move that requires you to put your heels on a yoga block, which for me makes it on my real tippy toes, and do squats, so a lot like barre work. In fact, a lot of the workout was bodyweight only which I liked and also meant I didn't bother trying to add on any barre myself. My legs WERE quivering for most of the workout!!! Then I did an extended stretch with Callanetics or a total 60 minute workout. Tomorrow is some kind of Cathe total body workout, I'll have to gauge my energy to see how I feel! Eventmom Yeah glad you were able to telework! Buzzer waves!

Hi everyone!
Today I finished my workout week with a pretty active warm up with Simone de la Rue Rebounding workout the warm up through the first dance (15 minutes), then Caroline HIIT (this oneL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WGW...index=2&t=366s) then Callanetics extended stretch (15 minutes) for an overall 60 minute workout. I was sweating bullets with this HIIT! I liked the structure of this. It was 20 seconds on/10 seconds off and she grouped two exercises together (in many cases one was plank style or mat and one was standing, like a Tonique-style down dog knee-in into a mini handstand then plyo lunges). Each exercise pair is done 4x then you move on to another pair, for 7 pairs altogether with no repeats. There was no longer break between each pair so it was 20/10 the whole way through, which was tough! But I liked that some of the work was abs and non impact which balanced out with the burpees and such that she finished with! Then a nice long stretch. Eventmom waves! Buzzer I haven't done Firm Volume 2 in entirety in a long time, but it is mostly weights isn't it? I'm glad it worked well for you! I remember the mat work on Volume 2 is almost as tough as Volume 1. It sounds like it was a fun party! My dinner date was great, I got home around 10 pm but it felt like midnight I was so pooped too Yes, the sister I am estranged with was also very fun at times, but what can you do. I have a great relationship with my other siblings so I'm just trying to focus on that or I get sad and angry. Ugh my right shoulder, so you know!! I seem to do okay with planks or elbow planks right now, although my shoulder prefers the full arm planks. Like you said, I just do what I can, or else I get angry about that too!

Hi everyone!
I started my workout week today with a Caroline EPIC III upper body workout (as it's an upper/lower/upper week) that focused on the triceps, biceps, and abs (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh4m...aCqjdn&index=4). It was 3 minute complexes with a 30 second rest in between, rotating between upper body (tricep/bicep or just tricep or just bicep) complex and an all ab complex then repeat that structure with different exercises. So that was a lot of time spent on abs today! I wore 1# ankle weights and felt like I got in a great workout. I did a little cardio after my warm up and was surprisingly sweaty in the workout given it was all upper body focus and a lot of time on the mat. She added tricep dips and tricep pushups so it added a little metabolic too. I am just really enjoying these workouts. Total workout time with warm up, brief cardio, and stretch after was 55 minutes. Eventmom welcome back! Those look like awesome workouts!! Buzzer I always feel like I should do yoga more, but then I just don't seem to want to, LOL. I was thinking about adding more yoga in for my next rotation, but then thought about all the shoulder/wrist intense plank type moves and though maybe not, LOL. The "I got shot in the butt-ocks" line is from the Forrest Gump movie LOL (see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIWd3T1xjec). I don't know if you've ever seen the movie but it was pretty funny! That is crazy about the Taco Bell line!! I always balk at the Chik fila line but at least they seem to have a very efficient system. They have three (3!) wide of lines of cars around the one near me and Ive never tried it but I've heard that they get you in and out fast. The 30 minutes at Taco Bell is WAAAY too long for a drive in, yikes! I need to get on my christmas decorating soon, I'd like to have it all up before hosting Thanksgiving next week! (Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week?! )
