She lived a healthy lifestyle all her life and still she came down with the disease. Sometimes you cannot win  .

Oh dear, that is terrible news. She was so nice to us when we had a NYC get together at one of her classes. I will be thinking of her and hope she kicks cancer's butt (like she did ours!)

I'll never forget taking care of a woman in the ICU who had just had a heart attack. She was a marathon runner and obviously in great shape. She kept repeating "this wasn't supposed to happen, this wasn't supposed to happen." I felt so sorry for her situation, but it really brought home to me the point that none of us have any guarantees that we won't fall ill. /off soapbox/ Guess that pushed my buttons a little.
