At one of my kettlebell lessons, I did towel swings. It's a good way to see if you really are lifting from the hip; the kb will flop down if you're just lifting from your shoulders. I think Anthony D. has towel swings in one of his Minute of Strength videos.
Perhaps Phil is one of those people who is much better behind the camera than in front of it. Amy has a good camera presence and knows how to teach, so maybe they'll make a good team.
