The first thing that came to mind was beach body's back to core from insanity:asylum.....which is the drawback, b/c its part of a system, but u could possibly find it sold separately on eBay....I think it has really good back exercises that are not pull ups and back rows...etc....HTH

So...it's not a fun workout, but it has certainly balanced my body and just plain makes me feel good. Afterwards, not so much during!
Congrats!

Can someone tell me what the dvd actually is? Is it that 2007 release that's on amazon?

I'm also curious about the DVD. Can someone post a link?

I have the book and am just starting to do the basic exercises. It is encouraging to read of how it has helped others - sounds like this works well. Thanks for sharing! From what I've read in the book, these exercises do make sense. I know I need to strengthen my core - the PT I went to for the back/hip pain also told me this. Physical therapy was able to relieve me of the pain after a few months, but it didn't keep it away. I'm probably getting a bit lazy with my posture, and I think having a stronger core will help with that also. So many of the core strengthening exercises on my workout DVDs are ones I was specifically told not to do (crunch variations, bicycles, etc.). I'm skipping all those sections now and will focus on the Foundation training and hope for some relief - I'm tired of waking up at night with my back & hips aching.

So, for any of you with both the book and the dvd, do you think one is better than the other, or do you think it's worth having both, or ???

Bee,

I got the book through the library, then bought both the book and the DVD. I think it's worth having both.

Thanks, Ann -- good idea about the library -- I will check ours to see if they have it.
