Fun to find some overlap -- thanks for indulging me.

I started the final story in Anthony Trollope's Palliser's series the other day, on audiobook. (The Duke's Children, word of warning, a favorite character in the series dies, and we're told of it in the very first sentence. Waaah!)

Other than that, I'm all about non-fiction these days.
Lately, Chatter by Ethan Kross, about our self talk, the function it serves, and how to manage it. IIRC I checked this one out a while ago but wasn't up to reading it. Worth the wait, so far.

Rivercat, I've been thinking about this post for a couple of days -- been meaning to come back and ask you about the "challenging" books you've read, if you want to share. During the more locked down part of the pandemic my son and I read "Godel Escher Bach" along with a friend of his and her father. Definitely a challenge but fun to do as a group. The W&P reading is with a friend (I wouldn't have picked it up otherwise). As my friend says, we'll do a "palate cleanser" next, and then we may tackle "Infinite Jest" with another friend.
