I've gone through phases of trying to use more band workouts; I've probably never stuck with anything long enough to see significant changes. I do think lifting heavy occasionally helps me to maintain/build muscle. At the same time, when I am doing vinyasa or power yoga more frequently (which I rarely do but have gone through a few phases), I definitely see more toning to my arms.
I love yoga as well, it’s such a great way to tone.

Joni ~ I've asked myself that very question for years. I continue to wrestle with what I enjoy and love vs what might work better for my body, but not drawn to. I decided to lighten all my weight loads and take out impact.

My joints definitely get final say on how much weight I lift, bu I still get to decide what routine I do.

I do "Firm Lite" version. Modify and still get my motivation from what I love.
