I don't have answers to your questions, but I have the stretch workout, and like Debbie and F1mom, I put the DVD in a standard case and slipped the cardboard one in the front. I have a label maker so I just used that to label the spine.

I don't think her Half and Half DVD was put out to cheap retail ever.

I put any "cardboard" workouts I get into DVD cases so they won't get lost.

True -- but weren't the two separate workouts (cardio and toning) later released as two separate DVD's? And that's pretty annoying as well.

So much for eco packaging. Now we have a standard DVD case plus a cardboard sleeve being used for one workout. I'm not blaming anyone going this route and truth be told, I would do it too. But it kind of defeats the original cause that Karen is trying to support. Wonder if she knows how prevalent this is.

Several cds that I have bought lately are also in cardboard sleeves.

I don't know if it's eco friendly or cheap. I've noticed that bottles are getting thinner. I had a bottled water with a hole in it and a milk jug with a hole in it. They weren't like that when I bought them, but the plastic was so thin they literally cracked.

I got those exercise tv dvds from the dollar tree last year and I've noticed they are scratched, no more than I've used them. I don't know if they were like that already or if it's because of the packaging. I transfer everything to disc gears or slim line cd cases.

Half & Half was split into 2 workouts and released to retail. The cardio portion was entitled Calorie Burn and the weights portion was called Get Firm Fast. I was happy about this because I only wanted the cardio one.
