Spark People or something better??

I recall a post from awhile ago recommending a website that was good for food journaling and calorie counting. Now I can't find it. Cansomeone help?

I've done Spark before, but hated inputting all my foods not found on the database.

Thank You!

CalorieKing is another one worth looking at.

I like SparkPeople - it has a lot of information on nutrition, fitness and blogs and lots of support groups. The site can also be a little overwhelming if you just want to quickly log your food and exercise and not have to be near a computer all the time. They do have an app for your iPhone, but I prefer to use LoseIt which I use on my phone. It is a free app - there are no annyoing ads on your phone and it is super simple to log your food and exercise.

I like both MyFitnessPal and Tap and Track for iphone. Tap and Track is $4.99 but it is pretty easy to use and has a lot in thier data base.

Livestrong is the best I've ever found, but DailyBurn is good too. They're both Ajax so there's no stupid reloading of the pages like on Spark.

I used My Food Diary for a couple years. There is a monthly fee (about $9). I thought the database was pretty large. You can save recipes (or meals). You log your exercise calories too. There is a short free trial available.

I'm still looking for the perfect app, but the funnest I used was Calorie Counter by FatSecret for the droid. You could photograph the bar code of a food and it told you the nutritional info and logged it.

The ads on LiveStrong and SparkPeople annoy me, even Fitday. The longest I logged was on the Fitbit site, but it's not great, either. At least it's ad-free. You don't have to be a Fitbit owner to use the site, either. Their foods database has some suspect stuff but once you have your few dozen foods you eat most often down, you're pretty set.
