Thanks Sophie..

What a great poem!

I'm going to try and participate - my goal is simple - just to do some practice every day and reestablish the habit.

Am looking forward to it and thanks for posting out in the general world!

Peace and grace to all this season,
Anne Y

Sophie, thanks for starting the thread, and thanks for the poem! I always like the shortest day--after all, the days can only get longer from there, right?

I think I have been doing the sadhana, starting on New Year's Day, since 2005 (a 1/1 start day is easier for me b/c it's after the Christmas holidays). I am tentatively planning to continue this year, although for some reason, I am not feeling quite as motivated as usual; hopefully this thread will help to give me a boost.

Hello all! Oh, how I miss all of you!

Sophie: I also love that poem and always search for "yule" in my Inbox to send it to some soul around this time.

I am in.

My focus: Do some Yoga everyday. I was doing Yoga for my back regularly, out of necessity. And now, I haven't been doing much for the past month.

Fitness-wise: This has been a null year. Back pain, house-guests, unrelenting work deadlines, Raynaud's restricting my outdoor jaunts and today I had an abscess drained. I am never setting foot in a gym ever again (that is the traumatic experience of today's minor procedure speaking). . I know I will be back again ( but never stretching on their mats, I don't trust those spray disinfectant thingis, does'nt seem to work).

I went to the gym because I was afraid of Raynaud flare ups in the cold. But I think I got infected with bacteria at the gym. Hello, Mr. Murphy, nice to meet you!

I hope to get back on the saddle soon.
Love joining in with all of you.

Ooty, I'm so glad to see you! I am so sorry you've been through so much this year. I hope 2011 is a much quieter and healthier year for you.

Hugs,
Sherry

My intention for this sadhana (my first ever) will be meditation and HEALING. I have been emotionally and physically unstable for too long, and I am completely committed now to restoring balance.

FidgetQueen-are there any particular meditation cds that you use? Restoring balance sounds like an excellent focus

Thank you,
Sherry

I'm in! I'm viewing the eclipse now (it's 3:00am here).

Besides a [short] daily practice, my sadhana will include a few minutes of spiritual reading daily.

My goal is a daily practice and to eat healthy. My sadhana begins today. Tonight I am attending a winter solstice practice at an anusara studio.
