My Tanita scale is very accurate, even down to five pounds.

Orlita,

I'm sure the technology is the same as those hand held models they have. My Omron has handles that come out of the scale and you hold them out front just like you do those regular hand held models.

I can tell you what NOT to get...

Conair Weight Watchers scale WW60x

I can step on this thing 7 times before I get the same number twice, and sometimes its five pounds between the heaviest and lowest weight.

And the winner is

I ended up purchasing the Omron scale, but don't use any features except old-fashioned pound measurement. I also moved it to a spot on the bathroom floor where the scale could sit without wobbling. So far, so good-- the results seem logical. It even registers .2 of a pound more when my hair is wet.

Thanks for your help. Now to get some dwindling numbers....
