Anyone have a favorite bathroom scale?

I've had quite a time finding a bathroom scale to trust. I've tried a few scales now that give me different weights within a few seconds, or different weights on different floors. My floors don't look uneven, but I assume the scales think so.

This should be such a simple thing. What scales have worked for you?

Thanks
Susan G.

I have digital scales from Conair for Weight Watchers. I really like them. They have a feature where you can't change the scales reading by shifing -- the scale compensates for that. They also measure (although I am not sure how accurate this is) body fat, water percentage and bone density. They store up to five users. Mine are model WW67T and I got them at Target.

I also have a Weight Watchers one:

The reviews are somewhat mixed (what else is new?) , but I love it and find it to be very accurate. It tracks 4 users.

My scale shows me three pounds lighter than my doctor's scale. So I just add three pounds when I weigh myself. Next time I buy a scale, I'll bring it home and weigh my dumbbells to see how accurate the scale is. Then, if it's off, I can immediately return the scale to the store. The tape measure is more important.

I have an Omron Body Composition Monitor/Scale and I love it. I've bought them as gifts for friends and family, too, and they are happy with them, also. Even though I take most of these figures with a grain of salt, I love all the different things it measure and it comes with a little chart that you can use to keep track of everything. And it is very accurate as far as the weight measurement - I weigh the same at home as I do at each of my doctors' offices.

I have a basic digital Sharper Image scale my mom bought me years ago. I like it. And my weight is the same as when the doctor weighs me.

And I was going to say "yes, the one that weighs me as 5 pounds less than every other one I try".

So does mine, and so did the last scale I owned. And I have 2 different doctors with 2 different scales (my OB has the "traditional" kind, not sure what it's called, and my reg doc has a digital scale). I can weigh myself fully dressed, go to the doctor (consuming nothing on the way, not even a drop of water) and at the doctor's office, I'm 3 lbs heavier. Makes no sense.

How does a weighing scale measure body fat? (Imperfectly, I imagine, but what's the technology?)
