You are so right about that---the anxiety can be mind numbing, particularly if the storm is expected at night. We have been mostly lucky in my region, and while we are expecting some impact, nothing like what has already affected many areas of Florida. Saying prayers for them through this devastating period.

I’ve called multiple times and can’t get through. I worry about them, too, because the husband is seriously ill with cancer and not sure what they’d do if he needed to get to the doctor quickly.

The phone service has been down for a couple of days.

We live in Sanford, which is just north of Orlando. We only lost one small tree, and there was no damage to the house. There was quite a bit of flooding to the local roads. The power was out for two days, but it’s on again now (for us but not everyone in our area). It was a little scary, but not as bad as some we’ve had in the past. Praising God that there wasn’t more damage in our area.
