Kamilah "Mimi" Barrett of Jillian Michaels and Leslie Sansone backgrounder fame!

So I did Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution earlier this year, and today I pulled out Leslie Sansone's Just Walk four-mile DVD. Lo and behold, I was surprised to recognize Body Revolution's Mimi! For those of you who have done BR, Jill realllllly jokes around with Mimi a lot and seems to enjoy putting her through her paces. Leslie's videos are a little more lightly scripted and the backgrounders don't really get a lot of interaction, plus I had the disc on mute while I listened to an audiobook.

I knew when doing BR that Mimi looked vaguely familiar but I thought perhaps she was in another JM video. Apparently I had subconsciously recognized her from this Leslie DVD all along.

Mimi's full name is Kamilah Barrett, she was on season one of So You Think You Can Dance, and she's a dancer and fitness professional. She does some fitness and dance stuff on her IG at https://www.instagram.com/kamilah_barrett_fit/?hl=en

Love her! That's so weird. I don't usually see any overlap between JM's backgrounders and Leslie's, of all people!

Nick, the guy that so many VFers seem to love in Leslie's walks, was in a very old Jillian Michaels DVD, I think it was called how to win by losing, or something like that. She teased him a lot. I didn't know Mimi was a dancer! I used to watch So you think you can dance years back, I liked the show.

Ah Mimi. She gets on my last nerve in JMBR lol! Perhaps she is more toned down in Leslie's walk.

she's also in the dance off the inches island or latin party series. i cant remember which one of those two. she looks different with long vs short hair to me. i only recognized her when the credits were rolling.

She's a Kamil-eon. It look me a while to realize that she was the same person in the different videos because of her hair and makeup. I wish I could change my look so easily.
