Yup. Similarly a kettlebell on it's side.

I did some of these today in a Jillian workout and my new favorite way to modify is to be on one knee but otherwise in plank position. If you're lifting the right weight, keep the left leg extended into full plank while the right is in tabletop; then switch both the arm and the leg for the second rep.

Like Hazel, I have also used yoga blocks and I have also performed plank with base (non-working) hand on high step or chair seat.
