im slowly developing a pretty large collection of fitness toys myself including:
-The Step Company full size step
-a cheaper smaller step that i dont use anymore
- 2 barbells that i inherited from the family (one straight the other the ez curl kind) and lots of plates also inherited
-3,5,7,10,12,15 lb dumbells
-a wonderful 65' ball...christmas present
-a pilates reformer machine
-a home made fanny lifter 14'
-a rubbermaid step stool 16'
-ankle weights 10lbs
-a cool purple sticky mat
-a crapload of awesome videos...cathe, karen voight, firms, yoga, pilates, ballet
- a ballet barre
I am shortly going to purchase my first Christi video, not sure whether to get Step Heaven or CIA Double Impact with the half hi/lo and the other half step. Im also looking into getting a longer, and nicer barbell, and some more Cathe!!!!!

not even close to the rest...

Right now only Reebok step, wooden risers for step (making it a 14" step), ankle weights, jump rope, 8lb, 10lb, and 15lb weights. When I get out of school (only two more months!), MAYBE I can afford to increase my collection a bit (okay, it will probably be more than a bit) =)

This is a fun thread

It is so interesting to read what everyone has...

My list:

Life Fitness Crosstrainer EFX
Schwinn Spinner bike
Concept 2 Rower
Pull up/dip/roman chair station
Weight bench with leg/preacher curl attachment
Curl bar
troy lite bar
olympic bar
plates
assorted dumbells
strength systems 20 lb vest
4,6,8,10 med balls
stability ball
Bosu
Urban rebounder
wobble/weeble boards
Only about 30 videos and DVD's (I am a newbie to videos)

I think the only thing I rarely use is the rebounder.

clearly not enough

We have a 17'x13' room in the basement filled with everyones toys. An old TV with the only VHS player in the corner. Scattered about are:

purchased before I found VF
*Step Company step with 4 risers
*bathing suits galore and really expensive goggles.
*gym bags with water bottles and towels and extra socks, bras and underwear.

purchased after VF
*Coated dumbell pairs in 2#, 3#, 5#, 8# and 10#
*1 inflated stability ball with a spare uninflated ball and a pump hiding in my home office.
*Cheap thin yoga mat, strap and pair of blocks.
*Theraband - blue in two lengths. 1 from physio a few years ago and a longer one I bought to use with a tape but have not done so as of yet.
*Brand new bike, never been outside on it yet. Somewhere I have a helmet for it.
*Minoura rim drive trainer. Worth every penny.
*3 pairs of shoes. 1 that I have been using and will now become outdoor shoes, 1 new pair of Saucony's that I hope I will love and a pair of ugly Nike's that were on sale for $25.
*3 Enell bras. 1 in a size 4 that is too big. Only worn for 4 minutes. One in a size 3 that is a bit to small but still usable and a custom made purple one that cost the earth but which I love love love.

Clearly I need to purchase more. Of course I need a second job to make that feasable but then I would not have time to use any of it.

home exercising is expensive here

as there is not a great range of equipment available to buy and very few workout videos and DVD's (other than Yoga and Kathy Smith). Here's what I have managed to collect though in the past couple of years (actually most in the past year since discovering VF! )

Two full sized Steps with risers- one for a weight bench
Barbell
Assorted barbell plates .5kg-5kg
Assorted pairs of dumbells 2kg, 3kg,4kg & 5kg
Adjustable dumbell set
Swiss Ball
4kg Medicine Ball
1kg ankle weights
Dyna bands
Rebounder
Stretching mat
MIO heart rate monitor
Tennis racket and balls
31 DVD cases (but most have 3 workouts or more ie Cathe, CIA)
46 videos
and of course the Rykas and workout clothes

wow, thats more than I thought I had!

Here's my growing pile of exercise equipment! My local exercise store LOVES to see me roll up!!!

Step Company Step with a bunch of extra risers

FIRM barbell (I LOVE that thing!)

5 foot barbell (don't use it much but DH uses it)

various plates totalling around 100 pounds

18 pound bodybar (new - I like it!)

Rubbermaid tool box (paid $5 CAN for it!)

Rubbermaid 2-step stool

The little Rubbermaid step

My hex dumbells (pairs of 5,8,10,12,15,20,25 and one 30 pounder)

Coated dumbell pairs and holders (2.5, 5 and 10) for visitors

Ankle weights (up to 5 pounds each and so easy to put on and take off)

Swiss ball

Inexpensive rebounder (don't use often but I really like it)

Exercise tubing (DH actually bought this one)

NortickTrack Elliptical Trainer

Vision Fitness Recumbent bike (so quiet!)

DVD player (DVDs are so much better than videos!)

VCR

27" TV

Piles of videos and a growing pile of DVDs

My workout room with the giant mirror

And finally.... my two golden retriever yoga blocks!!!

Now if I could figure out a way to justify buying a BOSU!! And a 24 pound body bar. And a concept II rowing machine. And.......

Will it ever end??? No - and that is so much of the fun of this addiction, er, hobby!!
