“Proprioception” - which instructor says this?

I’m trying to remember a video in which the instructor says, “Proprioception,” and then explains the meaning. I believe it was while she was doing a move on all fours or possibly lying down (bonus if you can tell me what she was doing). Definitely a female instructor.

This would have been a workout available before 2012 (I’ve been doing prenatal workouts, off the wagon, or using streaming workouts since then, and I don’t think this was a prenatal workout).

It’s bugging me because I think this was a workout that I did often.

Thanks!

I feel like proprioception was something that was popular years ago and you never hear anymore.

I recall it from https://www.amazon.com/Strong-Knees-...71558538&psc=1

And perhaps http://www.swapadvd.com/V-Core-Worko...Dr/dvd/269113/

I know it was mentioned in others too, but can’t remember details.

Sue Grant says it in one of her Older and Wiser workouts. And she explains it, although I can't remember what she said.

I think Jane Fonda mentions and talks about it in one of her more recent workouts.

Yes, there is a balance bonus on Jane's AM/PM Yoga DVD.

Lee Holden mentions it in several routines, and I'm sure Miranda (CS/Essentrics) does too.

Decades ago I remember Charlene Prickett saying it in various of her dvds. Can't recall the explanation though.

I don't remember hearing the term in a workout. I first recall it from Oliver Saks' book THE MAN WHO MISTOOK HIS WIFE FOR A HAT.

For those who don't know, proprioception is your sense of your body in space. For example, if you are standing, you can sense whether your arms are closer to your body or further away, if you are listing to one side or the other, etc. Even without visual cues (e.g., eyes closed) or touch, most of us have a pretty good sense of this. But, proprioception can be damaged or otherwise lost.
