Carefully foam rolling my inner thigh was the only thing that helped mine.

Rolling has helped me the most.
To intensify the Figure 4 move above, you can move your legs to the left slightly if you are stretching the right side and vice versa. I learned that in a yoga class.

I also like the pigeon pose which you can also do standing by holding the foot and knee of the leg you are stretching in that pigeon position. even better is resting the lower leg of the hip you are stretching on a table then leaning forward slightly. These standing poses are good if you are at work or otherwise cannot get on the floor.

Using the yoga tune up balls also helps.

Would standing or kneeling in front of the computer be better than sitting? Because there'd be no bend at the hip joint, it's straight up and down. Not sure if it would be good, bad or neutral for lower back though.
