I only wear shoes to the gym. I even do insanity barefoot. I tried to wear shoes, but I swear I felt it in my joints more during the plyometric moves. Shoe free for me!

I also do all of my workouts (except step or treadmill) barefoot. I have tried with shoes for things like Tracy Anderson's dance and it is actually more difficult (for me) with shoes. Maybe, after doing so much barefoot, even the lightest shoes are too heavy??

Everything I have read said that barefoot, or near barefoot, is the way to go. It does take some time to get used to it since most of us have abused our bodies by wearing shoes our entire lives.

I get too much arch and/or heel pain when I go barefoot. The closest I come to working out barefoot is when wearing my Vivobarefoot Neo shoes.

I've been doing Tracey Mallett's new workouts that have you barefoot and I love it! I'm finding I'm not as clumsy, and can move quicker. I had ankle pain after the first time I did Cardio Melt, but I haven't experienced it since. I feel stronger and more in control without my shoes on. However, I don't care for the sweaty-feet-on-carpet "feel".

I also workout barefoot. But some exercises such as lunges, feel much better with my toes cover. Now I wear Vibram Jaya's. I these shoes! Couldn't live without them!

I do everything barefoot, except treadmill. Granted, I rarely do video cardio and I never do high impact, but I do all my toning barefoot (from Cathe to barre).
