I haven't done Mat in ages. But I might have a tip for floor abs. Sometimes, I place my hands under the top part of my butt (right below my back arch). I don't know if TA already does this in Mat but I thought I would suggest it in case she doesn't. I do this whenever any instructor does straight leg ab work especially if the legs are close to the ground.

Terrie, since the floor abs work comes right at the end, I figured that I could just stop the DVD after the floor legs--then I won't have to worry about chaptering.

Helen, Tracy does put her hands under the butt for the last move, straight leg raises (these actually don't bother me, as I've done them in yoga & Pilates routines), but she doesn't do that for the crunches. I could even modify with a squishy ball like in Barre3...I might just do it if I'm in the mood, as Debbie suggested.

Bumping to ask ... what cardio do you do with TA? Only her dc?

I alternate TA cardio with low impact when doing TA meta-hip.

So one day of her meta cardio and then NE day of something low impact... alternated throughout the week?

I wonder if firm step workouts would work... you would get the heart rate elevation, lower body work, minimal impact.

yes. I do my muscular structure work first, then cardio. So day one, MS + TA cardio; day 2, MS + low impact. repeat. One day a week I stretch.
