Jane C.--I LOVE your music list! Very much up my alley! Whoever would have thought Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band would warrant a mention on VF, of all places...

Unfortunately, I don't have a workout music playlist. I watch 30 Rock or Top Chef when I am on the rebounder. But I highly recommend emusic.com as a great place for cheap mp3s and discovering new music.

Lately I've been totally obsessed with Kings of Leon--working out or not; also I listen to a lot of Madonna when working out, but here is another mix I use a lot:

Penelope--Pinback
All Night--Damian Marley
Back in Your Head (Morgan Page remix)--Tegan & Sara
Call it Even--Dressy Bessy
Lazy Eye--Silversun Pickups
Don't Change--INXS
Mikshake--Kelis
Paper Planes--MIA
Like Bullets--Snowden
Banquet--Bloc Party
Mattress--Atmosphere
That's Entertainment--The Jam
Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)--Arcade Fire
Huffer--The Breeders
Wolf Like Me--TV on the Radio
Such Great Heights--The Postal Service
Something Against You--The Pixies
Black and White Town--Doves
We Are Nowhere and It's Now--Bright Eyes

Not the first time Jane has provided us with an awesome, extensive playlist.

I don't even KNOW most of the fav groups or their music on most of these playlists!!! But I recognize a lot on Jane C.'s list...Dusty Springfield, Donovan, a few other groups popular in the 60's (can remember when these songs were all over the radio. And of course, the Beatles. And I do know U2...my younger DD's favorite group.

Don't have a workout playlist, but I got a Zen Stone mp3 player with the goal of compiling a walking playlist. So far all I've been able to put on is some of Kathy Smith's programs and while those are great, I would love to be able to put a lot more material on it. I'm having way more luck loading my poor little cell phone with music, ringtones, etc...now I need a memory card for it!!! Actually putting a walking playlist on my phone would be better so I could carry just the phone (and my inhaler) while I walk But I need that memory card first...

Lydia - my French yoga teacher - Francois, loves Donovan - that made me start reacquiring his stuff.

Missmomus - at last - fellow Savannah Band fan. Kid Creole and Coati Mundi are related bands (as is, I think, Dr. Armondo). I love these bands.

Another Tom Petty/Melissa Etheridge fan here,

I always thought Kate Bush's Hounds of Love/Running up that Hill would be good pace to walk with.
